Devlog 4: Timeskips into a different game
After a full year and more of development, I like to think that I come out a bit more experienced. Maybe grizzled and forged with new experience of developing a demo. Or perhaps I was just being dramatic. Hello curious eyes! This is Blazer speaking again through written words. We've overhauled a LOT of this game - both the page and the game. I hope you like them! As for the game... we did a lot of soul searching and testing. Eventually a lot of our previously planned features were scrapped or delayed for after demo. We tried to see what made our game interesting and decided to try and focus more on the platforming side rather than the combat side - at least for the demo. We've made plenty of changes to the platforming system as well! As it currently stands, our protagonist Kayden is partly a physics based 2D platformer. A lot of his movement can be manipulated via clever and quick adjustments via his hookshot mechanism. The demo is designed to sell the world, characters, and the mechanics. There's a boss at the end which will test your platforming skills, so do get familiar with the controls! We would greatly appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you for reading this far.
